Hi! I’m Dave Baker, and I’d like to welcome you to the Lakeland Vineyard.
Our desire is to be a relationally based fellowship. We are worship intensive and Word driven, and are in quest of the “radical middle” where the Spirit (experiential reality) and the Word (objective reality) merge. Our dress is casual, but we’re serious about experiencing the presence of God. It’s also our goal to see every person reach his or her full potential in Jesus.
From our inception in 1991 we felt God was leading us to function as a cell church. This is known as a “two-winged” approach to doing church. We call the two wings Celebration and Home Groups . We have come to understand that both wings are vital and of equal importance to the development and spiritual growth of the individual believer.
On Sunday morning we have our weekly Celebration Services . This is when our Home Group members and our visitors gather to celebrate the Lord through singing, giving, teaching and ministry.
Our home groups meet throughout the week in various homes in our area. We consider them to be basic Christian communities where relational Christianity is practiced and the individuals’ gifts and callings are developed.
